doctors here in cyprus treat this like any other defiency of vitamins they give you tablets or orall sprays and leave you to it. they give you anxiety pills and antidepresants because of all symptoms with both being low i am having very bad times and thank god i found this site so i can get some good advice. i am trying on my own to cure my self as every time i see my doctor he says i should take nerve pills i believe if i correct my low vitamins i will feel beter as when i take thyroxin i feel much worse i realize thats probably because of the vitamins that i become so ill . i seen another doctor and opinions are the same

Improving vitamins to be at good levels can really help reduce symptoms

I'm adding that you mentioned yesterday that your Vit B12 result was 101 (200 - 900) and Vit D was 8.8 (20 to 200) to clarify for members the severity of your deficiencies.

I would definitely raise my vitamin/mineral levels. I wouldn't take nerve pills, which rarely, if ever, work. Some cause dependency.

Good for you! Every time I haven't followed my gut feelings about what would be best, I've regretted it. Yes, too much B12 at once. Are you sure it's mg, not mcg?

I think you might be confusing micrograms (mcg) and milligrams (mg). :-)

Yes - that is Greek mu - which stands for "micro" - did you click on my link? :-)

YES BUT HOW MUCH I AM TAKING DONT UNDERSTAND I SPRAY TWO TWICE micro smaller than miligram?

Two sprays of 1200 micrograms = 2400 micrograms = 2.4 milligrams.

(In the UK we use a fullstop as a decimal separator, and a comma as a thousands separator.)

If you are very low in B12 even after taking sprays (or tablets), you probably need injections.

I suggest you join the Pernicious Anaemia Society forum here on HealthUnlocked.

healthunlocked.com/pasoc

(Pernicious Anaemia is one very serious cause of low B12 and people with that cannot absorb enough. That forum has a LOT of experience of B12.)
