Hello everyone.

As promised, I am giving an update. Some of you will remember that I switched from Naturethroid (due to return of symptoms), to TRMan back in January 2019.

The results are in.........

My hair has stopped falling out, I have lost weight (105kg to 96kg) without changing diet or exercising more , skin has cleared up, not feeling cold, more energy etc, etc.

My blood results show:

* "suppressed TSH" (0.007 ) normal range 0.27 - 4.2

* High T3 (7.92) normal range 3.1 - 6.8

* Normal T4 (13.1) normal range 12 -22

Antibodies have even reduced , although still high, but that's Hashimoto's for you.

Personally I have never felt better and was even thinking of raising by another half grain as I still dont quite feel optimal. I am using the blood tests as a guide only, but rely how my body feels and gut instinct to determine my dosing.

Be interested if anyone has any thoughts on results.

Kind regards

I'm glad you are feeling much better. Due to you being on NDT, the blood tests used were introduced along with levothyroxine (T4) only. One of our Advisers only took one blood test for the initial diagnosis and thereafter it was all about relief of symptoms and how the patient felt on the dose.

Before levo and blood tests were introduced we were diagnosed upon symptoms alone and given NDT which would have been increased gradually until we were symptom-free.

The following, especially 'Safely getting well' may be helpful for you. It is also by Dr John Lowe.

Thank you for the link.

That is exactly, what I think. Go by the symptoms and not by the tests. People are the best judge of when their body is working properly.

So you're feeling better on TRMan than you were on NatureThyroid?

Whichever it must be lovely to have all those positive changes.

What is TRMan? janveron1

Hello

TRMan is an NDT from Thailand. It is gluten free, lactose free and aluminum free. The tablet is sugar coated to enable the hormones to be absorbed through the intestine rather than the stomach. If you are interested, I can PM you a company that does a trial pack of 200 tablets and uses a bank transfer.

From what we have seen recently, it is no longer being manufactured. :-(

Hello

I haven't heard anything about TRMan being stopped / manufactured, and I have just ordered another batch of tablets without any problems.

Hello

Thank you for the link. Maybe the problem with TRMan is because it is a European Supplier? I get mine directly from a supplier in Thailand, and they have not mentioned any difficulties.

But, I will definitely keep eyes and ears open for any changes or supplier problems.

Thank you for bringing this to my attention.

Honestly don't know for sure but I certainly have in my mind that they have stopped production. But it could well be my mind that is wrong. :-)
