i am feelin much better splitting my 2.5 grains of naturethroid 5 times a day. im taking .5 grain every 4.5 hours for the day. i had huge peaks and troughs taking it once or even twice a day. does anyone else split this many times or see a problem with it? also why do labs have diff ranges? one lab i go to has t3 range of (2-4.2) and other lab i use has 2- 5.2 both using pg/ml

ramsfs10,
Different labs sometimes have different ranges. It doesn't matter what the range is as long as you take it into account when analysing your results.
Dose splitting works better for many. I initially had to split mine into three or felt too hyper straight after and too drained in-between doses. Now I dose just two.
I haven't heard of anyone splitting five times a day but if it works for you and you can fit them all in around food and supplements, then it must be fine.🙂
I'm impressed you can remember to take it five times. I used to forget the second with two! Ended up taking it all at once and thankfully that worked for me. So if you happy with it stay with it!
Wow...5 times a day. I split mine 3 times a day and even that is hard with keeping the hours needed between food and NDT and supplements and NDT. If not too hard to explain...what is your split time frame?
i know it becomes habbit tho like anything else! i take 5 am 930am 2pm 630 and 11pm which is right before bed. i do intermittant fasting which really helps keep food out of way. but i def keep an even energy throughout the day. i hated the peaks and dips in energy the other way. i split my pills in .5 and just carry in a baggy in my pocket
Wow, I could definitely not guarantee an empty stomach 5 times a day. Just once first thing in the morning for me.
I went through a phase of splitting T3 into 5 doses per day. This was several years ago in the early days of me treating my own thyroid. Eventually I was able to, very slowly, reduce the number of doses I took, which made my life much calmer!
thats good to hear thank you!
