What is your FT3 level, essential to test when taking T3.
If you post your results, including the reference ranges as they vary from lab to lab, members can comment.
I would need to get private tests as like most people I don't get this through NHS . Can you recommend a private testing company
Most of us go with the companies mentioned on the TUK website here thyroiduk.org/tuk/testing/p...
Medichecks and Blue Horizon are the ones that are most popular here.
They both do a variety of tests, but if testing T3 it must be done at the same time as TSH and FT4, so choose one of the thyroid bundles.
When I just want to check my levels if I've changed dose or just monitoring then I use Medichecks THYROID MONITORING. Normally £39 but you can use code THYROIDUK for 10% discount.
The equivalent test with Blue Horizon is their Thyroid Check PLUS THREE

However, as optimal nutrient levels are essential for thyroid hormone to work properly, if you don't already know your current levels then it's worth doing either Medichecks Thyroid Check ULTRAVIT or Blue Horizon Thyroid PLUS ELEVEN. More expensive but very good value for the number of tests included.
These tests can be done by fingerprick, if done properly it's as good as a venous blood draw test, but if preferred you can opt for venous blood draw but would need to arrange phlebotomy at extra cost.
jojomac23,
Heavy tired legs is a typical symptom of 'wrong levels' of thyroid hormone. You say your T4 is high, TSH low and you're taking T3.
Perhaps you need to adjust the doses a bit. If you say how much T4 and T3 you're taking, and post your actual TSH, FT4 and FT3 test numbers, members may offer suggestions for you.
