So back today for results, I have hashimotos, told me to stay on 100mcg and back in 6 weeks for more bloods. Also told me to take selenium 200 daily and have me a trial box.
Results are
Ft3 - 3.2, range 2-4.4
Ft4 - 15.9, range 8-17
MAK - Tpo. 195, range says negative : <
TAK - thyreoglobulin 307, range says negative : <
TRAK - tsh receptor AK, range says negative :<, result was <0.80
TSHr - TSH basal 0.27, range 0.35 - 4.5
Only been back on 100mcg for a week after previous gp had me on 100mcg alternating with 150mcg.
Sorry my levels are those before the range - I think it may have been cut off. He told me that I have hashimotos today. I really should use the laptop rather than tablet when writing stuff out but daughter is using it!

Poor gut function can lead leaky gut (literally holes in gut wall) this can cause food intolerances. Most common by far is gluten. Dairy is second most common.
According to Izabella Wentz the Thyroid Pharmacist approx 5% with Hashimoto's are coeliac, but over 80% find gluten free diet helps, sometimes significantly. Either due to direct gluten intolerance (no test available) or due to leaky gut and gluten causing molecular mimicry (see Amy Myers link)
Changing to a strictly gluten free diet may help reduce symptoms, help gut heal and slowly lower TPO antibodies
Ideally ask GP for coeliac blood test first or buy test online for under £20, just to rule it out first
Trying gluten free diet for 3-6 months. If no noticeable improvement then reintroduce gluten and see if symptoms get worse
Results are taken from the printout he gave me today. I don't have any bowel or stomach problems thankfully so not sure cutting gluten would really make much difference. I did ask about vitamins and he said that selenium was the most important to take, I do take a b12 in the afternoon.
Other vitamin deficiencies can cause similar symptoms and/ or support the general homeostasis. Iron especially, as ferritin.
Vit d, b12, folate also good to have well balanced.

Gluten hasn’t been an issue for me. Briefly lactose was when I had ibs and I find if I drink too much milk (which I can do in rooibos tea!) I don’t absorb Iron as well.
Ah sorry if you have active antibodies I suppose you could try the no gluten. You have to be taking gluten before you have a coeliac blood test though.
So having done some serious googling I've found that my vitamin levels appear to be ok based on blood tests for mch/hbe pg/ery range was 28-33 and result was 29.6, mchc range 33-36 result 33.6 and mcv range 80-96 was 88. These are results from test on 12.02.19, from my Google it appears if these are out of whack can indicate b12 or b6 deficiency and iron/terrific problems and anaemia etc.

It's often better to alternate to get 125mcg than take a 25mcg tablet that's a different brand to the higher dose one. Teva in particular, which is one of the few manufacturers of 25mcg dose tablets, has been particularly troublesome for many members and caused serious side effects. I alternate with 100s and 50s rather than introduce a different brand, I know that I am fine with my original brand and wont rock the boat.
