Update, changed doctors.

So I wrote on Tuesday about my disastrous appointment with normal GP her in Germany he basically to!d me i didn't have hypothyroidism anymore as my TSH was now normal and to take 100mcg per day.

Not happy with this i made an appointment for today with another gp recommended by a friend. What a difference! He listened to me and looked at my blood results along with what dose i was taking after each result, he said you should have had your ft4 and ft3 done on the 2nd blood test and also looked antibodies because if thyroid isn't working its generally because of autoimmune problems. I go for bloods with him tomorrow to look at everything, told not to take meds before tests (shocker for those in the Uk),

Finally my TSH results and levo dosage since diagnosis last August below.

Range for tsh on all results 0.35-4.5

17.08.2018 - TSH 14.96 given 100mcg levo.

21.09.2018 - TSH 0.46 reduced dose to 100mcg one day and 50mcg the next.

30.11.2019 - TSH 4.72 increased dose to 100mcg 5 days and 50mcg 2 days per week.

18.01.2019 -TSH 4.47 increased dose to 100mcg and 150mcg the next.

12.02.2019 - TSH 0.4 reduced dose to 100mcg daily and spat his dummy out when I asked him about FT4 and FT3. Didn't even get to ask about antibodies!

Will keep you all posted of how i get on next week with new results etc.

A classic example of why doctors should not dose by the TSH! Glad you found someone who knows something about thyroid. :)
