I saw Dr Peatfield last year & he suggested I take Adrenavive iii alongside my T3 for my thyroid and adrenals. I have found it to be extremely helpful in improving my condition. Recently I went to re-purchase it to find it has gone up in price horrendously and now has a 4 week wait on it! I am devastated!
Can anyone recommend anything else that will do the same job? I am stressing so much, as I cannot afford the new price, as I am taking quite a few tablets a day, and I am on benefits due to other conditions, so paying so much out is unthinkable.
Thank you very much in advance.

I too take Adrenavive and have been waiting for it to come back into stock. I have just checked and am shocked at the new price compared to previously.
I last paid £35.95 for Adrenavive lll and Adrenavive ll was £25.95, now they are £49.95 and £31.95 respectively.
The only alternative I have been able to find at the moment that is Adrenal Cortex, rather than Adrenal Concentrate which would be the whole gland not just the cortex, is Thorne Adrenal Cortex but it only comes in 50mg capsules at £17.95 for 60 capsules.
I don't know how many you take but that works out at 30p per 50mg. For me I would need 5 capsules of that so £1.50 per day for 250mg and with the Adrenavive lll at the new price then 1 x 250mg capsule works out at 55p.
If you find another alternative that is the cortex rather than the whole gland, I'd be grateful if you would post details.
One other thing, did you do a saliva adrenal test before starting Adrenavive? If so, it would be worth repeating to see if your cortisol level has improved and whether you could now reduce your dose of Adrenavive.
It's been like that for a while, and with the so called 3-4 weeks wait, so I ended up getting Thorne.
I've seen in iHerb Nutricology Adrenal Cortex. It is 100mg, 100 caps for £28ish. It has free "local post" delivery, so not sure if that means it's sent from a warehouse in Europe? I'm tempted to get some when the Thorne runs out, but I've had to pay customs fees before when ordering from iHerb, so that would make it more expensive.
Does anyone know how iHerb's delivery works?
On the other hand, I've been reading about Paul Robinson's Circadian T3 Method for healing adrenals and normalising cortisol production, so thinking that could be an option?
From what I've read from other members ordering from them, I wont be using them.
I don't know anything about Paul Robinson's method and as I've improved since being on Adrenavive I think I'll stick to the adrenal cortex, don't want to risk rocking the boat after taking so long to see an improvement.
When I emailed them I was told the second or third week of January, so I imagine it could be very soon. I'm sending off an adrenal test tomorrow and that takes about 2 weeks to get the results, hopefully by the time I've got the results and know what strength I need to order they'll be back in stock as I've just about got 2 weeks' worth of Adrenavive left.
Thank you - I have been without mine for a while and I am really feeling it. Combined with the stress of struggling to get my T3, its all getting a bit much! I was going to do an order today, but then saw it still said 1-2 weeks wait, so was a bit concerned, as I am sure when I looked before Christmas it said the same thing! I did take your advice and order some of the Thorne, but I don't its making half the difference my Adrenavive did. I take the iii and I was taking 3 -4 a day (on Dr Peatfield's advice) so it is now going to be so expensive!
I have just ordered Swanson Raw Adrenal glandular from Health Monthly healthmonthly.co.uk/swanson... but it hasn't arrived yet so I don't know how good it is. 350mg raw adrenal extract starts at £10.28 for 60. cheaper if you buy more.
That's one of the ones I mentioned that is the whole adrenal gland, not ideal if we want just the cortex which provides cortisol (and DHEA). With the whole adrenal gland there are likely to be other hormones/steroids, very likely adrenaline which some of us wont need.
Hi Bellerin, I used to use adrenal supplements and did find them a little helpful, however, when I switched to pregnenolone supplements, I saw a vast improvement in comparison, cheaper too. I'd recommend doing some research on "the pregnenolone steal", if you haven't already.
Various well established supplement brands sell pregnenolone now at a very affordable price, but my favourite brand is a pharmaceutical grade pregnenolone supplement from eurohealthproject. They are more expensive but lasts me several months. Though I was still happy with the cheaper brands from Amazon
