Thyroid levels came back and unfortunately they didn't perform T3 or nutrient levels so here they are...
Doc says no further action required so doubt they are going to test anything else, despite the swelling. Opinions on my results please as I have no idea what this means. They are within their normal range. Thanks
Serum ferritin level 15 ug/L [11.0 - 307.0]
Serum free T4 level 11.1 pmol/L [8.0 - 16.0]
Serum TSH level 3.47 mU/L [0.38 - 5.33]

Your ferritin level is extremely low, low enough for an iron infusion I would think. I would ask your GP to do a full blood count and iron panel, this will tell you if you have iron deficiency anaemia.
For thyroid hormone to work (that's our own as well as replacement hormone) it's said that ferritin needs to be at least 70, preferably half way through range. Your doctor wont agree with that, as far as most doctors are concerned, even one point within the bottom of a range is a perfect result for any test.
Your TSH is too high, for most normal healthy people it probably wouldn't be higher than 2, and FT4 would probably be half way through it's range. With your TSH at 3.47 you would be diagnosed hypothyroid in another country, doctors here are sadists and like us to wait until it reaches 10.
As you can't get the full testing recommended, maybe you could do what hundreds of us here do and that is a private test with one of our recommended labs. You can get the following done as a one-test bundle
TSH
FT4
FT3
Thyroid antibodies
B12
Folate
Ferritin
Vit D
This will give a full picture and will be worth doing, it might give you evidence to get a diagnosis too.
medichecks.com/thyroid-func... - requires 2 x microtainers each requiring 0.8ml of blood from a fingerprick, or you can get a venous blood draw if your prefer (you will have to pay if your GP surgery wont do that for you). Code THYROIDUK should get you 10% discount.

bluehorizonmedicals.co.uk/t... - requires 1 x microtainer requiring 0.8ml of blood from a fingerprick, or again you could do venous blood draw. Code BLUEFRIDAY should get you 20% discount.

Your ferritin is extremely low. See different GP and ask for full iron panel to test for Anaemia. You will need ferrous fumerate supplements to improve levels
Eating liver or liver pate once a week should help improve levels too. Or other iron rich foods plus vitamin C can help improve iron absorption
You need both TPO and TG thyroid antibodies tested for autoimmune thyroid disease, especially with family link to autoimmune thyroid disease
For full Thyroid evaluation you need TSH, FT4, FT3 plus TPO and TG thyroid antibodies and also very important to test vitamin D, folate, ferritin and B12
All thyroid blood tests should ideally be done as early as possible in morning and fasting. This gives highest TSH and most consistent results. (Patient to patient tip, best not mentioned to GP or phlebotomist)
Private tests are available. Thousands on here forced to do this as NHS often refuses to test FT3 or antibodies or vitamins
Medichecks Thyroid plus ultra vitamin or Blue Horizon Thyroid plus eleven are the most popular choice. DIY finger prick test or option to pay extra for private blood draw. Both companies often have special offers, Medichecks usually have offers on Thursdays, Blue Horizon its more random
My bloods were taken at 12.25pm and I didn't fast. My ferritin levels haven't even been flagged. All satisfactory my GP has said. I have had iron deficiency while pregnant and also when I got a DVT. I was told I was severely deficient then so clearly this is an issue for me. I had a FBC which I will post here and also CRP U&Es etc.
Full blood count
Haemoglobin concentration 139 g/L [120.0 - 160.0]
Red blood cell count 4.92 *10^12/L [2.81 - 6.49]
Haematocrit 0.420 L/L [0.36 - 0.46]
Mean cell volume 85 fL [80.0 - 100.0]
Mean cell haemoglobin level 28.4 pg [27.0 - 32.2]
Mean cell haemoglobin concentration 334 g/L [300.0 - 350.0]
Red blood cell distribution width 14.0 % [8.0 - 14.0]
Really not sure what to make of it all. I am still waiting on my ultrasound as my thyroid is swollen. I'm not now or have ever been on any thyroid medication although I have suspected for years I've had issues with it.
