Hi

I had a gluten sensitivity test and that came back negative.

However, I have Hashimoto’s and I was experiencing major tummy cramps, bloating.

I stopped eating gluten back in September 2017 and have definitely noticed a difference.

Later on I did a very expensive & extensive food intolerance test.

Even though I haven’t been eating gluten, it flagged up that it was still present in my body and I was intolerant to it, amongst other foods.

Gluten can cause inflammation in different ways

I would advise to give it up and see if it makes a difference.

Best wishes

Hello I also had an expensive test 2003 said gluten, wheat, yeast, cashew nuts and egg white plus some I can’t remember but it’s way to difficult to avoid all these

I'm not really sure food intolerance testing works all that well. The only real way to know is to cut the food out for 30 days before introducing it again later. So you need to avoid gluten for 30 days, try a small amount, and then wait 3 days to see if you have any reaction to it.

I has a food intolerance tests a few years ago now. I was very wary and refused to give them my medication taken or any illnesses. He understood andxsaid you can tell me after! It was quite extensive and obvious it was going to be higher that I think he said 20 was the most he had come across! Well I flagged up 142! Ok a few E numbers in that plus a couple of low vits even though I was already supplementing. Most other things flagged up I did have issues with so in some ways it made sense. A few days after I was going on a cruise so what better time to tweak my diet! So I wasaway with one of my sons and wanted to go on the most testing trips! Are you sure you can manage these mum? Answer-of course, been there before but didn't mention it was 42 years earlier! So after flight my sandals staps had cut into my feet, I looked and felt like a beached whale but I was going to eat as per testing so someone else to provide the food and cooking it. First day at sea relaxed in the shade and struggled to get my feet in my sandals. Cuts looked deep so swelling was gross but I'd paid my money and was going to enjoy it! Beauty with slogging your way through site is that the coach drops you off at the highest point and picks you up at the lowest so fairly easy but the first trip dropped you off at the top be you had to return the same way! Well getting up the hill I had to take slowly so stopped to admire the view but after that I found the next day I wasn't holding back a scream putting my sandals on and thinks go much better so by the end I had lost weight-how many on a cruise do that, and lookedxandxfelt a new person. So why? Looked at what I'd been eating and put it down to a cheese omelette every breakfast. So every time now I think I'm flagging the omelette revives me! Wonderful! The saying goes we are what we eat and being sensible as well was a big help! So I wouldn't rule of intolerance testing altogether but also listen to your body. I do eat things I shouldn't or I would have a very narrow diet but I don't eat too much of the things that were a no no.
