conversion from Levo to NDT

I'm thinking of ordering Nature-Throid. Can anyone direct me to a conversion table from Levo? (No endo on island to support this...) Thank you.

As far as I know, there is no conversion chart for changing from levo to NDT, and if there were, it would only be guesswork, because there's no way of knowing how much levo is equal to how much T3 - an endo certainly wouldn't know! It all depends on the person, and how well they convert. We usually say that 1 grain of NDT is roughly equal to 100 mcg levo. But after that, it's all trial and error.

Thank you greygoose. Before I try NDT, I'll see if switching L.Thyroxin brands help. I was taking the one there was a big scandal about in France.

Hi Koola. D-r Izablla Wentz has one on her website thyroidpharmacist.com, she has an e-book called “Optimizing Thyroid Medications” by D-r Izabella Wentz that I think she gives away for free and inside it she has the conversion table. Great of luck and happy holidays!
