How is lanzapropol going to help with a Hashi's flare? If, indeed, it is a Hashi's flare. Depends what you mean by that term.
I'm really not convinced you can 'control' Hashi's with diet - don't you take any levo or anything? Even if you were 100% gluten-free, it wouldn't improve your hormone levels. And less than 100% won't do anything to help.
I’ve Hashimoto’s thyroiditis and was totally gluten free until I hit Christmas and slipped . On the 29 th Dec. I ended up in hospital . One auto immune disease had led to another. Diet plays a major part in your health and I would not recommend taking lansoprazole, it will mess up your gut bacteria. Try eating only meat, fish, vegetables and fruit and drinking water and green tea for a few days see how you feel.
Please read up about lansoprazole. It decreases stomach acid but Thyroid patients tend to already have low stomach acid so decreasing any more can stop you getting nutrients from food or the benefit of your medication. It's also addictive and it's not easy to be weaned off it. Patients are often left taking it for years yet its only to be used as a short term medication. A good alternative is Apple Cider Vinegar and I know Holland&Barrett stock it. But read up about it.
