What do members think about the report yesterday regarding too low or too hight TSH, claiming that both doubles increases risk of Alzheimers ? Do you think this is the case when on medication (which can suppress TSH)?

Well, I haven't seen a report, do you want to link to it?

Having TSH suppressed because of the medication isn't a problem as it's suppressed because you are on the correct amount so your TSH is low as it's not asking your body to up things you are low in because you have enough.

I've not seen the report but I have read in the past that dementia patients are very low in T3 so that is saying that your TSH is probably high because need medication and body or external source aren't giving enough.
