What is your TSH, can you post it with the reference range.

The rest of your post is rather ambiguous, if you want to elaborate members can comment.

Sorry your right, I've not really worried about it till now, it's been fine at that level for a yr and half ..as I said 1st said this wasn't low enough and now the other is saying it's too low..

Actually no I remember it's 0.8 and T3 was 4.6..

Ranges I will have to find them...I've not had a blood test yet as I don't feel I need it..no issues so no need..

So, when were these results from?

We don't need a range to see that TSH is in-range - any TSH range! So, your endo sounds like a bit of a wally. Besides, if your fT3 is in range, there's no such thing as a too-low TSH. I would just ignore him, if I were you.

About 6mnths and 2 weeks ago... So far the other endo had no issues..apart from saying that he'd rather the tsh be around 0.2 instead of 0.8, but to do that I had to increase T3 a little...my T3 dose is 50mgs spit obvs I increased by 5...but I don't get a new test results till 2 weeks ...and to be honest I was on 75mgs of T3 ,once I started HC treatment I was able to tolerate less T3 and dropped T3 to 50mgs , that's before the NHS took over T3..which to be honest I didn't want... but if I'm honest T3 sorted bloods and thryoid swells but nothing else, HC have me my life back inlcding energy and the list is endless..I've not had a cold or flu for 2 yrs , I got a 2nd stage infection without hc and on HC the same infection went in 2weeks ..they are def missing something here..

Oh, they miss most of it. lol They have so little understanding of anything outside diabetes - and I often wonder just how good they are at that! Pity you can't have your labs sooner, a lot can happen in 7 months! And tests should really be done six weeks after a change in dose - that's another thing they miss!

But, the fact still stands that the important number is the FT3, not the TSH. And, even the first endo was being silly when he said he wanted it lower, because when you get down to that level, it really doesn't make much difference. So, I would ignore them all, if I were you. They just don't know what they're talking about. :)

Why are some of the Endocrinologists so superior and forget they are dealing with desperate patients who are desperate for their advice and help to recover their health. Instead they are met with an insolence and insensitivity when we were relying on the appointment to turn our symptoms around and feel well again.

I am not sure if TUK have a list of Endocrinologists whom we shouldn't consult? They do have a list of helpful ones.

Many endocrinologists are unknowledgeable about anything regarding the thyroid gland. That's why there's so many members on this forum. TSH for instance is from the Pituitary Gland which tries to flag up thyroid hormones when the thyroid gland is struggling. Once we're on replacement hormones the TSH should be 1 or lower. In fact one of TUK's Trustees wrote the following:-

I really think there should be two lists

One where consultants are recommended

The other......avoid if you possibly can

Ya know, I self treated on T3 for a yr and knew it the tsh to be around 0.2 and my T3 around 5.0..closr to the top and it helped a great deal, if I reduce it my HR will increase. I don't know why I doubt myself...and your so right, there should be lists..as both my endos are on the same freaking team so dosnt make sense..1 says it's not low enough hit the other day it's not , yet aaperently they also discuss me together, something I did not agree to either... They also have no idea why t stresses I face with HIV and other issues everyday, but they never ask..

Do they have a list in the UK for ones to go to then, as I've wanted a new one for a yr as communication is nil and if U don't listen to me i won't listen to U, well actually I did reduce me HC slightly with dire issues but hey
