Hi, I’ve posted a few times now. I’m just coming up to my three month review with an endo and am looking for some advice. I saw her for the first time at the beginning of June when she confirmed a diagnosis of Hashimotos having had Graves as a teen. As I’d had Graves in my teens she was reluctant to start me on thyroxine but ended up starting me on 25mcg. My ferritin and B12 were also dire so she put me on ferrous fumarate 210mg twice daily and requested loading doses followed by three monthly shots of B12. I have also been taking 10yg of both vitamin d and folic acid once a day. The endo also suggested going gluten free as you also suggested on here which I have been sticking to since.
Since the B12 shots my head is a little clearer but I’m still very symptomatic.
-Weight Gain
- Shattered all the time no matter how much I sleep
- Wanting to sleep all the time
- Depressed
-Stressed
-Lack of drive
-Loss of libido
-Dry Skin
- Cold all the time. In the recent heat wave of over thirty degree temperatures I was actually pleasantly warm for once!
-Jumpy bounding pulse rate, drops as low as 49 in bed at times.
-Restless legs
-Hoarse Voice
-Heavy Periods. Weirdly these have got heavier since taking iron, is this normal?
-Clutzy
-The start of a scalloped coated tounge with a dry sensation all the time,
-Super achey upper back and neck
-Brittle finger nails
-Dry skin with eczema on my hands and feet
-Acne type rash on my face since the B12 shots
-Boils
-Bruise easily
-Not really wanting to be sociable
I’m feeling pretty down about it all, all my gp wants to go is brush it under the carpet because apparently I shouldn’t be symptomatic cause my bloods aren’t bad enough for symptoms. I have been offered anti depressants three times and the latest offering was diet pills with the caviar of needing to loose 5% of my weight in three months. Like that’s going to happen with rubbish thyroid function.
I know I definitely need to fight for an increase when i see her but what else should I be asking?
I have written out all of this years relevant bloods and have attached a picture.
Thanks in advance for your help!
Sarah
