Endo appointment tomorrow advice please

I have posted before about my need to pass urine on average five times nightly . A young Doctor at the surgery contacted my Endo to ask if it could be an Adrenal problem , back came the reply it doesn't look like diabetes 😈 . After chasing after them for months I have an appointment tomorrow .

I tried to pay for my own checks but cannot have saliva test as I use a cortisol inhaler . Interestingly there is a note on the pil that says long term use can cause adrenal problems . Well Duh ! What can I reasonably expect from Endo and what can I ask for ?

I must add this is a night time only problem . I am so shattered and desperate to sleep . Sorry for complicated post . TIA Pp

Pinkpeony it may help to have an ultrasound where the procedure is firstly carried out with a full bladder then repeated with an empty bladder. You have my sympathy, sometimes I'm up 10 times per night regardless of how little fluid has been taken but there doesn't appear to be any reason for this.

How is your body temperature at night time? Do you wake feeling a bit chilly?

c g thanks for the reply .

Gosh up to 10 times , my worst has been 8 . I rarely go during the day and don't drink excessively so why night time . G.P . considered diabetes insipidus but I believe that's daytime as well . If any thing I'm overwarm during the night .

I just don't want to be fobbed off as I've waited months for this appointment .

I'm so tired I could cry Thanks Pp

Pinkpeony has there been any change in how often you go during the day, ie did you used to go more frequently before being hypo? I discussed my issue with an NHS Endo who arranged the ultrasound and he concluded that I have an irritable bladder, to be fair I tend to agree.

Can relate to the tiredness with disturbed sleep, be persistent with Endo and fingers crossed for some answers. Hope your appointment goes well.

Hi , I had an ultrasound a few years ago because of some urgency during the day . Concluded every thing was fine but I wasn't emptying my bladder totally . I make sure I do that now . Thanks Pp

Read a post on the PAS Forum today about a lady who had a Sensitive Bladder and had tried various medications - eventually began to self inject B12 and found an improvement.

Thanks Marz , I do get b12 injections , just had one today in fact . Wouldn't it follow that it would be daytime also ? The trouble is that I'm 75 and I think doc's think that goes with my age 😦 .

I will take a look at that post . P p

Will do Marz . I had a good appointment with the Endo yesterday . He is going to take me into hospital for overnight to check things out , and also a water deprivation test 😱 . Not sure I like the sound of that lol Pp

Marz , sorry for the delayed reply . We have been out in this lovely Autumn weather ( not ) to the farm shop which is in the wilds .

I used to get jabs every 12 weeks , but after much breast beating on my part sho contacted the consultant who told the doc to try me on 8 weeks .

I use sub lingual methycobalamin for a good part of that . I know I should try self injecting but I lost so much weight since the onset of thyroid , as the nurse said " it's hard to find a muscle " Thank you and I will take a look at those .

I hope the sun is shining on you .Pp

Wish I could send you some sunshine 😎😎 That reminds me I read somewhere that Vit D needs to be good to help B12 work - cannot remember where !! I expect yours are fine ....

We don't have farm shops here - so I am quite envious .... x

Haha , but I expect you grow your own produce and keep chickens . Wow I'm making myself jealous now ! Hope you are well P p x

Sadly no chickens and we have so many fresh fruit and veg shops everywhere we gave up growing stuff. Lazy I know but in the heat so much watering is required. We can buy organic eggs in the village - pole cats are very nasty to chickens .... no foxes. Am nursing a poorly tooth - otherwise fine thanks !
