Primary Aldosteronism reactivated by T3

Hi all,

Just a note to my Saliva Tests post. I saw my Primary Aldo Prof yesterday and I have a comorbidity of cortisol, adrenaline and aldosternone happening. Because my BP and now my heart rate are so high, I have to come off T3 and restart T4. I am weaning off the Hyrdocortisone. I am pretty upset but I knew the T3 was causing damage. I feel slightly better, the adrenals are settling, but it will take a while. Prof has given me 6 weeks to wean off and wean back on. By this time my holidaying Endo will be back and they will liaise with him. I hope to go on combo T4/T3 or NDT. We'll see. Thanks everyone who supported me during this crisis. I would have truly been lost. My Prof is angry with his own hospital for not contacting him, but no one but you guys and my Prof (Oh and me!) knew how sick I was. I hope I can emerge from this, I feel very defeated and so sick. Thank Goodness I have Poldark taped..........

Ahh Naomi,

You've got me pegged. I'm in Australia, but we get some of your BBC series, great stuff. Favourite book which I read every few years Wuthering Heights, can't beat the Brontes. Yes Loved North and South. Colin Firth in THE scene? Oh Boy!

Thanks Missimal, I should have moved sooner on it all, but it's just so confusing at times! You've been a marvelous support for me though. Thanks.
