Are your thyroid nodules a problem?

in reply togreygoose

I have this nodule for two and a half year. Its not growing and on both side the right one shows a little physically but left one is inside and cant see without US. My diagnosis were the same every time i went for FNA and they are

1: left thy3f lesion , U4 appearance

2: Right 3A lesion FDg-avid, U3 appearance

And now the doc suggested to do a total thyroidectomy !

That is rediculous. Why remove the whole thyroid for a nodule that isn't causing any problems.

I don't know if CBD oil would help, but couldn't do any harm to try. It would be interesting to find out. :)

Sorry forgot to mention that i have a history of non hodgkin lymphoma i had R-Chop chemo (6cycles), in 2016-nov to 2017-march ,for that and in remission since then. So the doc thinks if the nodules grow into something else or changes in few years time that might spread to my lymph nodes and that will be complicated in future time.

Ah, well, I don't know anything about that. But you could still try the CBD oil.

Have you heard about Thyroid Radiofrequency Ablation? I only found this out recently myself as my mum has benign thyroid nodules. As the years go by she has more issues, so I had been trying to find alternative treatments that may help.

I found these studies over the internet, ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/288....

ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articl...

I am not sure if this is something offered in the UK or not and whether it would be indicated either.

I don't know about Cannabidiol, but it is also difficult to know who would. I guess, if you find a doctor that prescribes it, you might be able to understand more whether it will help or not I guess.

I was also trying to find if CBD is effective for Thyroid nodules and came across your post. So, I thought to mention what I recently found about this other treatment. My mum wanted to try the CBD oil but have been trying to find out about whether it is indicated or not for this kind of condition. So far, inclusive search sadly.

When you see a user name of Hidden, it means that the person is no longer a member of this forum.

We often close posts that were originated by people who have left - there is no point in wasting our time making replies. Occasionally, the thread might still be active and popular and will be left. More often, it is simply a case of none of the admins noticing!

I shall now be closing this post to replies.

It is shame that the original poster left before your helpful reply.
