Hey,

My TSH has gone from 8.04 to now 0.33

(TSH was all they tested on my bloods this week)

Normal range 0.3-5.0

Just wondering what you think

I’m still waiting for a phone call from my GP since having them done not sure if he will keep ken on this dose or Lower it

He shouldn't do anything on TSH alone, you need T4 and 3 done otherwise its guesswork. If he can't do them you will need to buy a Medichecks kit.

Well, your TSH has reacted well to the Levo. However, as Bantam says, TSH is not the full picture. You need FT4 and ideally FT3 as well, before deciding whether to alter this dose, also take into consideration your symptoms - how do you actually feel?

All thyroid tests should be done as early as possible in morning and fasting and don't take Levo in the 24 hours prior to test, delay and take straight after. This gives highest TSH, lowest FT4 and most consistent results. (Patient to patient tip, GP will be unaware)

Is this how you did the test?

For full Thyroid evaluation you need TSH, FT4, TT4, FT3 plus TPO and TG thyroid antibodies and also very important to test vitamin D, folate, ferritin and B12

Private tests are available. Thousands on here forced to do this as NHS often refuses to test FT3 or antibodies

Medichecks Thyroid plus ultra vitamin or Blue Horizon Thyroid plus eleven are the most popular choice. DIY finger prick test or option to pay extra for private blood draw. Both companies often have money off offers.

As you have relatives with thyroid disease it's most likely you have Hashimoto's. Ask GP to test both TPO and TG thyroid antibodies

You mentioned bloating in previous posts, this is often gluten intolerance, common with Hashimoto's

Changing to a strictly gluten free diet may help reduce symptoms, help gut heal and slowly lower TPO antibodies

Ideally ask GP for coeliac blood test first

Hello, yes I did my test first thing Tuesday morning with no Levo.

I’m very confused as to why I only had TSH tested as my FT4 was on the lower side, and my folate was under and Feratin was also low on my last tests

When my GP phones I will be asking about my bloating and tests as I was bloated all week last week.

I’m not sure atall what he was thinking when he was printing out my form for my test 🤷🏼‍♀️
