Free T4 7.8 Free T3 4.2 TSH 0.04

If you feel great would you change medication based on above results?

Are they bad, endo says they are hyper but I don't understand why

Because your TSH is suppressed and that's all they understand!

But, I'm afraid I can't comment on the FT4/3 because you haven't put the ranges, but the FT3 looks a bit low.

Probably, what's happening is that the endo is just obeying orders - if you're in the UK - to take all patients off T3 because it's too expensive. :(

But, do inform your super intelligent endo that a hypo cannot 'go hyper', it's a physical impossibility. She can be over-medicated, but you cannot judge that from the TSH alone. It's the FT3 the most important number.

Thank you Tsh 0.04 range is 0.4-4, Free T4 is 7.8 range is 9-25, Free T3 is 4.2 range is 3.5 -7.8

Note you can't go from hypo to hyper

My T3 is low considering I am on supplement of active T3 so what was it before I went on T3! I believe I must have a conversion problem from T4 to T3 been on T4 for 27 years from 50 mcg to 175mcg and never felt good

Now feel better than ever got my life back lots of energy confidence and happiness and they want to stop it not fair

Endo said my levels previously were normal, apparently with a conversion problem your levels do show normal and you then have to go on T3 which may have been lower than the current 4.2 with supplemenation

Well, it rather depends on your definition of 'normal'. When a doctor says 'normal', all he means is 'in-range'. Which, as we all know, is not good enough.

Will write a letter to endo

If I have to stop anything I would prefer to reduce t4

If the reason - the real reason - for them wanting to stop your T3 is cost, they're not going to accept that solution! Levo is as cheap as chips.

Can't tell without ranges. Are free t4 and/or free T3 over range? If not, don't reduce.

Free t4 is 7.8 range 9 to 25 and Free t3 is 4.2 range 3.5 to 7.8

So I'd increase both. I do better on T3 only, so my reaction would to increase T3 first by 5mcg, then if no improvement after a week, increase T4 by 25mcg and retest in 6 weeks. It all depends on how how good your conversion was before you started t4. If it wasn't too bad, it would be worth increasing T4, but if it was poor, there's no point increasing t4. Certainly nothing to indicate that t3 should be stopped.

the endo says I am currently hyper can they force me to stop and stop prescribing it?

Endo is wrong, you can't be hyper with under range free T4, but can probably stop prescribing. In which case you'd just buy your own T3
