Im new to this forum but im a member of a couple others as l have a few autoimmune diseases ie lupus sjogrens and pbc. I recently had a brain and neck MRI testing for MS which fortunately l dont have but radiologist picked up a nodule on my thyroid and neurologist is writing to my gp suggesting l have an ultrasound. Im really worried about it. My voice does get a bit croaky but l didnt take much notice. Any input would be appreciated please.

Nodule
I don't think a nodule is going to make your voice croaky, unless it's very, very large. Most people have nodules and don't even know about it. But, an ultrasound is good, to make sure it's not too large. More importantly, your doctor should be testing your thyroid hormones and antibodies. Just to make sure.
I think neurologist said the nodule was tiny and referred to it as singular. I think l have had thyroid bood tests done from time to time and as far as l know they have been fine. Is it more worrying if just one nodule rather than a few im female and 67
I think it is, yes. But, if it's tiny, then that's good. You should try and get copies of your thyroid blood tests. Never trust a doctor when he says 'fine'. You need to know the numbers.
Thanks l have no idea when it comes to thyroid what are symptoms of thyroid problems. I saw neurologist because l was having symptoms similar to ms muscle spasms pins and needles no signs of ms could it be thyroid problems
Or it could be nutritional deficiencies - especially B12. It wouldn't be a bad idea to have that tested. Or did your neurologist test your B vitamins? He should have.
Hypo symptoms are non-specific and can be just about anywhere in your body. There are over 300 of them - but you don't have to have them all to qualify! The most common symptoms are fatigue, weight-gain, depression and hair loss.
