So I have had Hashimotos for 8 years and have been on Levo for that long started on 50mg and now am on 75mg-100mg. My initial TSH was a staggering 150!
My blood test this week came in at 1.94 but I’ve been feeling dreadful and it seems my T3 is on the low side of the scale. The doctor, in her wisdom, isn’t open to dishing out T3 due to budget cuts on drugs so I have found a functional medical practioner who has worked with Izabella Wentz and recommended Metavive.
Has anyone had any experience with this?
I took 75mg of Levo this morning with 1 15mg & 1 30 mg MV and now am feeling hyper!! (Hello the sweats!!)
Thanks for any help x

Can you add your most recent blood test results and ranges for thyroid and vitamin levels
Before adding any T3 it's essential to test vitamin D, folate, ferritin and B12 and improve levels to be very good by supplementing FIRST
As you have Hashimoto's low vitamins are extremely common. The fact you are only on 75mcg/100mcg suggests you are likely under medicated on Levo.
Improving vitamins is first step. This often then increases TSH allowing higher Levothyroxine dose
Are you on strictly gluten free diet?
Hashimoto's affects the gut and leads to low stomach acid and then low vitamin levels
Low vitamin levels affect Thyroid hormone working
Poor gut function can lead leaky gut (literally holes in gut wall) this can cause food intolerances. Most common by far is gluten. Dairy is second most common.
According to Izabella Wentz the Thyroid Pharmacist approx 5% with Hashimoto's are coeliac, but over 80% find gluten free diet helps significantly. Either due to direct gluten intolerance (no test available) or due to leaky gut and gluten causing molecular mimicry (see Amy Myers link)
Changing to a strictly gluten free diet may help reduce symptoms, help gut heal and slowly lower TPO antibodies
Your folate and vitamin b12 needs a big help there .are u taking any b12 and folate supplements .vit b12 should be on optimal range (u didn’t put ranges next to your blood test)
