Looking to try Thyrovanz

sonship_quality1029 profile image

I have been reading about Thyrovanz and am seriously considering ordering it.

I don't understand any of the labs stuff here or the Vit D, B-12, Iron, etc. My previous dr. is the one who had me tested for Hypothyroid and I was found to have it. Before that, she found out I had Scurvy so was put on 1,000 MG a day. Then, with further testing, she found I was B-12, B-6 and Vitamin D deficient-later test showed I was Iron deficient as well.

I've been on Armour 30 MG for around 2 years. But I'm running out, and my previous dr. is not available. She was asked to leave because she prescribed natural treatments, such as vitamins and Armour.

My new primary physician wanted to put me on Levothyroxin. I cannot take it. She also wants me to stay off of any thyroid meds for 4 to 6 weeks so I can be retested for Hypothyroid. I think she suspects I don't have it and that my ex dr. just put her patients on vitamins for the sake of it. My PM said my Vitamin D and Iron levels are above what they should be and that I should stop taking them. She also said my ex PM prescribed those two to all her patients whether they needed them or not and that is why she was asked to leave.

I finally found an endo who prescribes Armour but I won't be able to go in until the 18th. I only have 3 pills left. That is why I started searching for someone to prescribe it or for an alternative.

I don't have any labs to show. I never received any, that I can remember.

I was wondering if anyone here has tried Thyrovanz and, if so, what your results have been. Could you please share what NDT you are taking? Levothyroxine made me very ill. Thanks.

Many endocrinologists and doctors have lost their livelihoods by treating patients with 'natural dessicated thyroid hormones' such as Naturethroid, Armour etc. Lies have abounded worldwide it would seem about the very original thyroid hormone replacement. I suspect Big Pharma has done so and also believe that they have paid doctors and endocrinologists in some way or by paying for their Conferences etc as long as the prescribe levothyroxine.

I haven't tried Thyrovanz but on looking at the ingredients it seems identical to the one which one of our Advisers invented before his untimely death. His widow now deals with it. It is called Thyro Gold and also made from New Zealand Cows. I shall give you a link and you can read what buyers have found.

Many on this forum know about the affect levothyroxine has on them and they don't feel well at all when they take it and they also look for other sources to help themselves.

Thanks, shaws. I found more than one person who said they were kicked off Thyrovanz FB page due to writing a negative review. I've decided to look into Metavive instead.

I looked at Thyro Gold, but it is way too expensive for me.

My, now, primary physician won't prescribe Armour for me like my last one did, so I set an appointment with an Endo who will. Trouble is, I won't get to see him until the 18th. of this month. I only have 3 Armour left.

I'm really concerned about how it is going to affect me being off Armour for as long as it takes for my appt. plus lab results.

I'm thinking of taking what I have every other day or every two days rather than take them every day until I run out then not have any at all until I'm seen

I've been on Armour 30 MG for around 2 years.

If you've been well on a hormone replacement, it is awful if they withdraw it.

I know some on the forum source NDTs from other cheaper sources and they are happy and satisfied with them and if you wish to know you'd have to put up another new post requesting for information about them and private messages will be sent and post closed for answers on the forum.

So, at least, you may have a source for replacing Armour if need be especially as the BTA have published False Statements about NDT - even though it was the very original replacement since 1892 and from then on patients survived. The following Adviser sent this but despite three yearly reminders they never did respond, showing how much they want to help patients if they don't do well on levo.

Thank you for the heads up, shaw. I will do that. I'm new here so I'm learning the ropes.

We have to be several steps ahead as so many have relied on an Endo solving their symptoms/prescriptions and been sorely disappointed. Some of whom have also been arrogant/superior/insensitive and especially people who've paid for the consultation lost money they may not have been able to afford.

Even though it is mainly females who have hypo, I think the following may also be helpful and I love doctors like this who care about resolving patients' health problems. If a few doctors are able to do this why not Endocrinologists. One of our Advisers stated that it was through monetary incentives that levo became No.1 worldwide.

I just saw that you had looked into the FB support page. I was going to say to join...

You can see where to begin in the pinned info in the group. You can also read about the recommended way to start thyrovanz on their actual website. Only problem is, they were sold out of many dosages last time I checked the site. And they can't tell you exactly what amount of each hormone is in it. Sorry, I haven't been able to read all the replies yet...

Good thing is, your body is already used to t3 and natural thyroid meds in general since you are on armour.

But you really need to get labs to see where you are at right now. And again after you start thyrovanz.

I can self order labs since I live in Florida,USA. But I hear that it's a bit harder /expensive for UK peeps.

I myself take something called Thyroid S, from Thailand. I'm 3 days in. First time on a natural thyroid hormone . Was on synthroid for like 15 years and recently had added a t3 med as well and started to improve. But that dr had to leave the practice and no one else will prescribe it. Or anything besides synthroid.

I'm surprised you found an endo that prescribes armour.

Problem is, they may only test your TSH.

You need a more comprehensive panel to really know how you are doing. You can't really proceed without that. Its like walking blindly. So he may not really help you.

Actually, I asked if they test for free T3 and free T4, which I was told they do. I really think I'm on the right track. He has his own office and is the CEO and founder.

That's a good sign. Just ask for reverse t3, get your iron labs. He should be open to that then. Good luck.
