morning everyone

Thanks for replies to my post re kidney pain/ache

When I sat and thought this through, I realised the pain became significantly worse after taking vit D3 and k2mk7

A couple of days ago I blasted my system with acv and gallons of water and stopped the Vit D3 and k2mk7

Guess what, no more pain !

So, my query for you knowledgeable folk is which vitamins should I take ?

My last bloods stated Vit D3 insufficiency,

Thanks for reading

What brands of D3 and K2 were you taking? If they contained excipients/fillers maybe you were reacting to them.

D3 = doctors best

K2mk7 = healthy origins

They just have the two ingredients so you can't get much less than that. Some people don't tolerate D3. There won't be anything that you can buy that contains any less ingredients. Maybe discuss with your GP and see if he can come up with anything. Trouble is, if you're not in the Deficiency category they may not do anything.

Thanks SeasideSusie

Just wondering, is there info on here about which supplements interact with others ?

Maybe I’m taking wrong combinations 🤔

I’ve an appointment in a couple of weeks .... I won’t hold my breath !

Annie

There is nothing in pinned posts. You would have to do a search maybe on here for "supplement interactions" but the search facility here is pretty pants unless the wording is very specific, and also on Google putting all the combinations eg "A + B interactions", "A + C interactions", "B + C interactions", etc.

Another thought - did you start the D3 and the K2 at the same time, or did you start the D3 and leave it a couple of weeks then start the K2? If you started them at the same time you wont know which one you are reacting to, if you staggered them then you would know which is causing the problem. Now that you have no more pain, reintroduce D3 on it's own, if no reaction then introduce the K2 in 2 weeks' time. Take at different times of the day. See what happens.

Hey Annie! The same happened to me! I ended up in emergency whilst holidaying in Indonesia with Kidney pain so severe they were suspecting kidney stones. But it was damn D3! I am also worried on how to supplement D3 after this incident as definitely don’t fancy a repeat of that pain. Let me know if you get into sth 😊
