I am low TSH and low T4. They put me on levoxentine and it made my body swell mainly my legs. So, I am came off it and now I am back to being totally exhausted. Could Natural Thyroid be an option?

Natural Thyroid for low TSH and low T4.
Don't know what levoxentine is, nor could I find it in google! Put your thyroid results on post...might help with advice.
Sorry my phone attempted to autocorrect that. It is Levothyroxin. These were my levels two months ago. I know they have gotten lower as my hair is now falling out and I feel way worse.
Free T3 was 4.0
Normal range 2.4-4.2
Free T4 0.9
Normal 0.7-2.5
TPO antibodies 9.0
Normal is less than 70
TSH 1.4
Normal is 0.5- 3.0
I lost a bunch of blood several years ago when this all started and it is looking like Central Hypothyroidism but, I haven't been diagnosed as such. I just want to feel better already. I have 7 kids and I just can't keep up anymore.
Can you be a bit more specific re blood loss...is it thought to link to central hypothyroidism? Can you add units of measurement to the blood tests as they are obviously not the same as I am used to. So you are currently just being treated for primary hypothyroidism, but without any evidence of thyroid autoimmune antibodies, with how much levothyroxin, for how long?
I had a miscarriage and lost so much blood that I had surgery and two blood transfusions. It is linked to central because, it causes your pituitary glad to not function throwing off your thyroid. I was on 100 mcg of the levothyroxin. It caused major swelling so I had to go off it. I was on it a month and the longer I took it the worse it got.
Very sorry to hear that. So the above results are without any thyroid meds. , the levothyroxin having been stopped when? I think to get more answers you might be better to repost, because as it stands, I can't see a thyroid problem in these results, and I don't really have any expertise on Central Hypothyroidism ( all I know is thyroid results tend to be low). From personal experience major trauma( and various drugs/anaesthetics etc) does send the body, and blood tests, all over the place! Post 'Central Hypothyroidism' in the search box at the top of the page...you might getter a better idea of what question you could entitle your post, and with what further information you put in it, rather than wait for members to ask questions , like both of us assuming you were still on levothyroxin.
Do you mean levothyroxine? T4? How much did they start you on? How long did you stay on it. I think we need a lot more detail before we could possibly help you.
They put me on a 100 mcg. I felt better energy wise but, my body swelled really bad and it was awful. I took it for a month. I was on a birthcontrol pill we thought may be causing it. I went off the birthcontrol and restarted my levothyroxine. The swelling came back. I am currently not taking any thyroid meds and I am miserable.
You would be!
100 mcg is too much to start most people on, so that might have been part of the problem. Or, you could have been reacting to the fillers. You could try asking your doctor to specify a different brand, they're not all the same. The fact that you had more energy shows that the hormone was helping you, but people are sometimes allergic to the fillers.
Two months ago your labs don't show any sign of hypo, either primary or Central. Your FT3 is good, although your FT4 is a little low. But, it's low FT3 that causes symptoms.
However, if you have hypos symptoms, trying NDT could be an option. Worth a try, anyway. Would you source your own and self-treat, or do you have a doctor willing to treat you?
I haven't had any luck with local doctors. I was considering trying natural on my own. I don't know where to start. I ordered a kit to retest my thyroid levels myself through Everlywell. At this point anything to feel better.
Well, first catch your NDT - to paraphrase Mrs Beaton. Post a new question, asking just that, and - hopefully - people will PM you their trusted sources.
And, then, you follow the rules for taking hormones - all hormones : Start low and increase slowly. So, with NDT, that means starting with 1/4 grain, and increasing to half a grain after two weeks. However, with you, as your FT3 is already quite a decent level, hold at 1/2 a grain for six weeks and retest, see what's going on and how you feel.
But, before you start that, get your vit D, vit B12, folate and ferritin tested. Your nutrients need to be optimal - not just in-range - before you start NDT.
