Switching from Synthroid to Armour

I was able to get my doctor to switch me from Synthroid to Armour because I was not feeling better. I’m convinced that my anxiety and tiredness is from Hashimotos and not Generalized Anxiety Disorder like he says.

Should I just jump right in and take the Armour or is it important for me to check my T3 first? I read that even people with normal T3 levels may benefit from NDT.

Thanks!

I think it would be best to test your free t3 before you start. If you’re in the U.S. you can order your own blood work through places like Ultalabs, walk-in lab, etc. I would also start low and slow on Armour because your body isn’t used to receiving t3.
