Switching from Tirosint to Synthroid

I’m switching from 88mcg of Tirosint to 100mcg of Synthroid. Any advice? When i took my Synthroid today I got a rush of anxiety and shakiness. Should i do it gradually or take the full dose of Synthroid? Anybody switched, how long is the adjustment period?

It's generally a good idea to make one change at a time, if only to know what effect that one change has had - make two changes and you won't know which has done what. So, swap from one med to another and keep the dose the same, and after acclimatising you'll know if you need a dose adjustment.

You might try splitting your Synthroid . I split my T4 and I feel much better dosing this way . People hearing this look at me with crocked eye . But the fact is that it works well for me . The end result is what counts . You might try switching brands if you had negative reactions to Synthroid . I did not do well either with Synthroid and switched brands .

Wishing you fast resolutions .

Thank you, when u say spliting, do you mean spliting the pill and taking 88 of synthroid, or spliting the 100 of synthroid and taking it at different times during the day?Which brand worked for you?

I'm currently on Levoxyl (T4) . And I take half of my dose 6-6:30 AM and the second half I dose about 3-3:30PM . I find that it works well for me this way . I'm dosing this way for a few years . Consistency works the best way .

I hope this helps you .
