After getting a private prescription from my GP for T3 and taking it for 7 weeks l am feeling much better. Today l have been to see a new Endo who has listened to me and has agreed l need to take it and is going to write to my GP recommending that l am prescribed it on a NHS prescription. I think you would say that’s a result 😊 It’s taken 3 years but I’ve finally got there. My advice - never give up.

Fabulous. I hope your GP agrees to prescribe.
Don't forget to emphasise that when taking T3 they need to test FT3 as well as TSH and FT4.
Hello YSpencer,
That is fantastic news, I am so glad that you never gave up and you are finally feeling better for it. This is definitely a hopeful sign for the rest of us! Thanks for sharing.
Great news. 7 weeks WOW I am a few weeks behind you; starting my 3rd week of added T3. Been on just 125 mcg of levo for quite a while and have felt like #@*& for a long time. Starting to notice a difference. Can't wait to feel even better. What dose did you start with? I am only at 5mcg of liothyronine -starting dose. Expect it will be raised at my next visit June 6th. Happy for both of us.
It’s amazing. I was on 125mg of Levo. When l added in 10mg of T3 l reduced to 100mg of Levo. Since my last blood test I’ve gone back to 125 of Levo + 10 of T3. I am trying to get mt FT3 bloods to 5 or 5.5. Good luck with your journey. Yvonne
