Have just started t3

I have just started t3 (1 x 5mg 1

Week) and have increased to 2x 5mg daily today. One am and one pm. I am to increase my dose steadily on a weekly basis until I feel symptom relief. I just wondered how long it takes for people to notice a difference? Or will I not notice a difference until I find my sweet spot? Fatigue is still a massive issue for me. Andrenals are being addressed as are vitamins so those areas are covered. Thank you for any responses.

That's too fast. It should be 5 mcg every two weeks. T3 needs time to build up, too. You could easily slip into over-dosing if you increase too fast.

How soon you feel relief varies greatly from person to person.

Ok thank you that’s good to know. Perhaps I’ll do every 2 weeks then. Thanks!

I think that would be better, yes. :)

Hi greygoose just a thought. I’m on compounded t3 which I believe is slower release. Would you still advise 2 weekly waits between increasing? Thank you 😊

I'm afraid I don't know anything about compounded T3. But surely it can't be that much slower.

I do remember my doctor also mentioning two weeks. Hang in there, i think as your adrenals are feeling better you will start to notice the difference. I also agree with greygoose, each person is different.

Thanks Jenna. Yes I hope so! It’s a long old road this healing malarkey isn’t it?! I thought I was doing a bit better then completely crashed with fatigue again today. Slowly slowly eh! X

It sure is, and at a snails pace sometimes haha. Sorry to hear that, I hope you get some more rest and feel better.

Hi

How did you feel on the 5mg T3? I am trying to split my doses and only on half the 5mg pill at the moment.

Do you feel better on T3?

I am in a similar boat.

Are you just on 5mg t3 with T4?

No currently on t3 only. Have just started though- only been on it 2 weeks after 10 years on levo x

I see, what dose of T3 are you on?

Have you felt a change yet?

I guess until adrenal issues are resolved it might take awhile

Bless you! Hang in there! The lights WILL come back on and you’ll begin to feel better. Just ‘tek it steady,’ as we say around here. I am now on 60mcgs split into three daily doses of 20mcgs. I feel just about as well as I did before I got sick. 💖

That's great you've got your hands on some T3. With that and the fact your addressing your adrenals you'll be a different person.

You'll have to keep us updated with your progress 😊
