High TPO...

I was told to come here and write down my levels and somebody would be able to help me. Hashimoto and Graves disease are both in my family my mom has one my grandma has the other. I am 26 I just had a baby in February my levels were fine before that. I had my levels checked on the 30th of March and my TPO was high. My throat has been swollen and hurts I can't think clearly about words sometimes and I feel tired all the time. My doctor said to just keep an eye on it. I have started a paleo diet, no Dairy no gluten no sugar no processed foods. Is there anything I can be doing to make this any better? Can it go away if I eat right?

Tsh 1.09

Free t4 .90

Tpo 63

Free t3 3.23

Can you add the ranges on these results (figures in brackets after each result)

Ask GP to test vitamin D, folate, ferritin and B12

These are very often too low as result of Hashimoto's and can cause symptoms in their own way, plus affect how Thyroid works

Avoiding soya too is recommended

Also avoiding flouride- changing yo flouride free toothpaste

Next thyroid blood test, make sure it's done early in morning and fasting to show highest TSH

The Dr did say it was PP Thyroiditis but since it runs in my family I am likely to get it eventually.

I use glass and stainless steal, dont eat soy ans use flouride free toothpaste and filter it out of my water.

Is there any way to change this course or is it just something that is inevitable?

With graves disease you have to be born with the gene and trauma or stress triggers it off.
