I’ve been using a batch of Tiromel for a while and have started to feel tired and my brain is misfiring; I was wondering if it was under strength. The batch no. is: 17F808. I might have a different batch as well so will switch and see what happens.

Batch of Tiromel - is it under strength?
The batch of Tiromel I'm using is actually out of date (16G268, exp. 02.2018), but I haven't noticed a difference between this batch and the last one. I'm experiencing additional health problems at the moment, partly because I had to drop my dose of lio, but I've never found batch-to-batch consistency to be a problem with Tiromel. In fact, it's the most stable brand I've taken, if a little less potent than Mexican Cynomel. Perhaps you need a dose increase?
Thanks, Hillwoman. I’ve usually found them to be fine but I thought I’d check. I take 200mcg per day as it is! If I drop down a bit just to make sure I’m not over-medicated I start to slur my speech and quit thinking.
penny , sorry for the delay in response - I've only just seen your reply. If you click the blue 'Reply' button directly under the comment you want to respond to below a post, that person will be notified and get back in touch with you.
If you're taking 200 mcg daily, and any reduction causes speech problems (ditto with me) then clearly you have some form of resistance to thyroid hormone at cellular level. If you don't already take your dose in one go on waking, I would try that first. I would suggest then increasing by 6.25 mcg, i.e. one quarter of a tablet, for two weeks, and then review.
I think I should compile a list of forum members who are affected by resistance or insensitivity to thyroid hormone, firstly because we need a better idea of the numbers, and secondly because we have a higher financial outlay that may cause hardship.
