Hi all, I'm really cheesed off with this run around i keep getting from my local Gp surgery. I want to have it investigated but unsure who i need to approach. I think my diagnosis and medications, blood results ect have been tampered with. Please advise.

I cannot answer your question but someone who does will respond.

If you google " How to complain about a doctors surgery" you will find below the solicitors site advice from Which (Consumers Association) and from the CAB.

You will probably need to start by making a written complaint to your local practice.

This flowchart explains the process in England (it’s slightly different elsewhere) citizensadvice.org.uk/healt...

On the right hand side of the screen, you will see links to further information, a template letter of complaint, and tips on ‘how to complain’.

If you find the template a bit overwhelming, maybe start by following the template and tips, and writing to the practice manager/senior partner. Keep copies, and ideally post using a ‘signed for’ service.

If you aren’t satisfied with the response (or don’t get one within a reasonable timescale), I would seek help with the next stage - Citizens Advice would be one option, the flowchart also has a link to others . Take along copies of any letters, and it would also be helpful to write down a ‘timeline’ - a list of what has happened, who has said what, what letters have been exchanged, and when.

Ive already wrote an email to practice manager but what if they dodgy too, might go no further than bin/trash. ill use that flow chart to keep me on track . Thanks.

It’s a step in the process you need to follow. I would say if you haven’t had at least an acknowledgement of your letter within 15 working days, move onto the next step (unless a specific process specifies

a different number of days )

No, but some of them are specific to a particular locality anyway.
