This is my first post having stumbled here trying to help myself as I have had zero help from GPS, so-called specialists, and labs, here in the UK, who refuse point blank to test further than the bog standard TSH.
I have been forced to pay out £300 for a thorough private blood test with a highly recommended lab and including a home visit from a nurse to take the bloods.
I've been taking supplements including B complex but have just read on here that it should be stopped 3-5 days beforehand.
When I have blood taken it will be just a few hours short of 3 days, and would appreciate any thoughts on whether this will be okay please, as obviously because of the cost I would be gutted to find I have ended up with a false reading.
Many thanks😊

Thank you for your response. In a way I think I knew that would be the sensible thing to do but as I've been waiting so long to finally get the ball rolling I was kind of hoping that I would get away with it. Much appreciated.Thank you.
The standard testing recommended on here is only £99 (often on offer at £79) plus cost of nurse or if you live close to number of private clinic options can pay £25 for blood draw there
Medichecks Thyroid plus ultra vitamin or Blue Horizon Thyroid plus eleven are the most popular choice. DIY finger prick test or option to pay extra for private blood draw. Both companies often have money off offers.
Thank you. It is with Blue Horizon, but it's the Thyroid plus 15. It's £249, plus £49 for nurse visit as I'm not near enough to a hospital that will do it. Plus the cost of the guaranteed next day receiving and sending. I'm kicking myself that I didn't think to stop all supplements, but as this is all such a minefield at present and I'm trying to wade through it alone I was bound to get something wrong😕 I'm just so thankful for this site..it's invaluable.
Two days is plenty of time to stop biotin before blood test 🙂 endocrinenews.endocrine.org... Doctor in this article says just one day makes huge difference . I stop for two days and yup, huge difference 😀
Eveno so, I always stop mine 4-5 days before a test to be sure as I have had a false reading before and given the cost involved here, personally I would reschedule.
