Have you tested ferritin,folate,B12,D3 ? Looks like you may have a conversion problem as FT3 is a bit low which optimum vits will help with.

Also ,it appears you have Hashimotos and many say going gluten free helps.

Hi, yes I have had those tested. Ferritin really good. Folate and b12 low end of normal so taking b complex and vit D was 25 so was prescribed D3 and now on maintence dose. Also taking magnesium. And been gluten free for a month. It’s been 2 months since taking supplements so maybe I haven’t waited long enough to see improvements. I’m quite impatient and hate not knowing what’s going on! Thanks for your reply x

Your high antibodies confirm you have Hashimoto's.

So very good to be strictly gluten free. Have you noticed any improvements from being GF?

Your FT3 is pretty low, but because your FT4 is quite high you probably can't yet cope with further dose increase in Levo

You probably need to retest again in 2-3 months once vitamin levels are better. Be good idea to test vitamins too then

If FT3 remains low then look at getting prescribed small dose of T3. But to get this you need a T3 friendly endo. Ask Thyroid UK for list of recommended thyroid specialists

As a fellow Hashimoto sufferer I can tell you that the effects on my health since being totally GF are surprisingly good - keep up the good work. Your Levo. dose seems a bit high but re-testing will sort this out in due course. You might also benefit from taking Omeprazole - my gastric troubles have disappeared (along with the gluten!). Getting the balance of meds. right for us Hashi people can be a lengthy process. At least you are being treated and looked after by byour GP.

I definitely feel less bloated for giving up gluten, still waiting for biopsy results from gastroscopy to know for sure if coeliac. Either way I’ll keep up gluten free.

Maybe my absorption etc has improved now so the Levo could come down again. My dose has increased with each baby I had, definitely no more!Due to have everything restested again end of June so we’ll see. Thanks everyone, always impressed with the wealth of knowledge on here.
