Does anyone know the cost of a thyroid ultrasound scan? Would they tell you results there and then or would you need to pay to see Endo as well?

Cost of thyroid ultrasound
hi, I don't know how much they cost but when I had an appointment with an endo, she didn't give me much other help and pooh poohed any talk about T3, but offered to arrange a thyroid ultrasound.
The guy who did the ultrasound told me the results there and then - which was that is all looked normal. Whether he'd have told me if there was anything untoward or if I'd have had to wait for a follow up appointment I don't know.
Worth asking for an ultrasound. If you're not already seeing an endo, ask via your GP.
I haven't had a thyroid ultrasound but have had one privately for another reason. It was a private appointment with an NHS consultant radiographer, the cost 2 years ago was £150 for the consultant radiographer plus £80 for the use of NHS equipment (it was done at an NHS hospital).
Mine was £317.00 with BMI hospital.
Even though I paid private the results got sent to my Endocrinologist, not me, but I asked for a copy of the results from him.
I also needed a referral from the Endocrinologist.
Plenty of BMI hospitals about give them a call, or think you can chat online with them.
Best wishes

I had one at a scanning centre “thisismy.co.uk” and it cost £120 a few months ago.
There are a few dotted around the country.
They go through what they can see as it’s revealed on the screen and you get a print out of your results.
They are very good.
