Hello,
Yes they do. You will need to tilt your neck back a bit as well so they can get a better look at what is there. Let the tech know in advance - it is not very long and you can sit up until they actually start.
If it helps, ask them if they can elevate your legs so you won’t be completely flat. I have a bad back and they put a cushion under my knees.
Good luck and hope this helps! Sending you positive thoughts.
I don't like laying flat as acid creeps up, the scan doesnt take long but as Greek chick says mention it so they are aware..good luck
I had to lay flat with my neck bent back.
Thank you. Don't know how I will go on. I go very very dissy if I lay flat.
Explain your situation to the US tech and see if they can work around your dizzy episodes ...maybe they can partially sit you up.
Oh I do hope so. I will mention it and see if they can help x
If you get dizzy laying flat, you may want to try Gravol before your procedure (used for motion sickness but can help you with dizziness too) . I’m not an MD so I don’t know if you can take it safely, so I would check with your pharmacist or MD first. Good luck!
