Today I just got my Thiroyd tablets from Thailand in the mail. Does anyone know what dosage 1 tablet is ? For example, is 1 tablet considered to be 1 grain? Is 1/2 tablet considered to be 0.5 grain. I just wanted to make sure because I am switching from 50 mcg synthroid. Any advice would be appreciated.
NOTE: I am on regular Thiroyd NOT Thiroyd-S ( just thought I would mention)

Hi, according to the Table in Izabella Wentz book 1 grain (or 1 tablet) is equivalent to 100mcg of Synthroid. Half a grain would therefore be equivalent to 50mcg of Synthroid. As you are already taking replacement hormone you can just do a straight swap but remember Thiroyd has the active T3 in it.
I don't think there is any difference between Thiroyd and Thiroyd-S in terms of potency, some people prefer one or the other but Thiroyd-S does have more fillers than Thiroyd.
One tablet is one grain or NDT or about 65mcg levo equivalent - using the measure of T3 being T4 x 3. 35 mcg T4 and about 8.5 mcg T3 = 35+26 approx = 61mcg. Even if you think t3 is T4 x 4, it only comes to 35+34 = 68.
