Has anybody else suffered with a heavy head in the morning that feels like a bout of flu every morning before food? It goes away once you eat?
I know undermedicating can cause this but I am also gluten, dairy free so this can't be the case. It usually is also worse when my hormones play up, e.g. A week or two before my period or week after, so I am not sure if hormones are to blame for this or Hashimotos? 🤔
Hi, I currently have a heavy head - not just in the morning - and some advice given to me in answer to my earlier post today was to reduce my thyroxine dose a little because my blood results showed a very high FT4. I am post-menopausal but taking HRT so could also be hormone related? I have been considering going gluten and dairy free - but maybe that won’t help! Hope you feel better soon.

I think your right it is hormones definitely, it's always around that time of the month for me also!
I need to ask my Gp to test my hormones but they always do the basic tests and not estrogen and progesterone. So frustrating isn't it? I had Thyroid results recently and they showed I was slightly undermedicating so I thought that's where the foggy flu like head symptoms stemmed from as I used to get this prior to being diagnosed 3 years ago when I wasn't on the right meds.

I am new to this forum but am learning so much from the very knowledgable people on here. For instance how important vitamin and minerals are to getting best results from our medication. My blood tests revealed a severe Vitamin D deficiency so I am addressing that. Have you looked at your levels? Hopefully someone more qualified to help will come along soon. 🙂
