Hi I posted last on here 3 months ago when i had just been diagnosed with autoimmune Thyroiditis on top of a previous diagnosis of PA

I have had 2 increases of Levo ( from 50 -75 and then 100mcg) since then and have just received my last lot of blood results today and told Normal by reception no further action!

I am getting very frustrated and before i go back to my GP to ask for another increase in Levo would be grateful for folks thoughts on the progress being made or not!?

I also had a medicheck T3 sample on same day as latest bloods as NHS has refused to date to report on in path lab - GP request keeps being refused

Blood result on 2.2.18

on 75mcg levo and 10 weekly B12 injections

TSH 6.34 (0.35-5)

T4 15.2 (20)

Serum Folate >20 (2.7-34)

Haemaglobin 147 (115-165)

WBC 12.2 (4-11)

Platelets 335 (150-450)

RBC 4.87 (3.8 - 4.8)

MCV 94 (76-96)

Mean Corsp Haem (MCH) 30.2 (27-32)

Monocytes 1.2 (0.2-0.8)

Note i had a Chest infection 2 weeks earlier

Blood result on 16.3.18

on 100mcg levo and 10 weekly B12 injections

TSH 2.39 mu/l (0.35-5)

T4 path lab refused to report on

Serum T3 normal No action

Serum Free T3 pathologist writes - not doing TSH in range FT3 not indicated

Serum Folate 15.2 ug/L (2.7-34)

Haemaglobin 147 g/l (115-165)

WBC 8.9 /l (4-11)

Platelets 305 /l (150-450)

RBC 4.86 (3.8 - 4.8)

MCV 94 fl (76-96)

Mean Corsp Haem (MCH) 30.2 pg (27-32)

Monocytes 0.9 /l (0.2-0.8)

Medicheck private T3 blood test sample taken same day/time

Free T3 4.75 pmol/l (3.10-6.80)

Both blood tests taken early morning before 09.00 and on empty tum n no levo since previosu morning

(previous results in earlier posts)

Symptoms as before, fatigue+++, poor sleep, night sweats, bloatedness, fluid retention I Can no longer wear my wedding ring) Shortness of breath on exertion ++++, diarrhoea, ratty, numbness tingling left hand fingers and numbness L foot and cheek bone with odd vision left eye ( brain scan dec was NAD) Hate walking at night as stumble cant place feet well and hate driving due to vision ( eye tests and scans NAD dec 17)

I look forward to folks thoughts on next steps, i did give my GP Dr Tofts Pulse article back in Dec and so am happy to quote this to her again to get my levo increase, but interested on folks thoughts on the T4 T3 ..as i wonder if i am converting but have no idea what i am looking for

Also was on folic acid from gp for two months to help the B12... is it normal for a brief intake? Had stopped them approx two weeks before recent blood tests

Feeling frustrated not really making any inroads - i know it takes time but....

Thanking you in advance

Hello, sorry you didn't get a reply, you could try again. It is frustrating but usual for labs not to do FT4 & FT3 if TSH is within range. Don't forget to check vitamin D too.
