I am on 100mg of Levothyroxine. When I was at 125down to 112 i was in a fog then I went to 100 , fogginess went away but now I have internal tremors . Sometimes it feels like it’s my heart but I have it checked and it’s normal . Anyone else have these symptoms?

Debri,

Can you post your recent thyroid results and ranges? Sounds to me as though you may be undermedicated or FT3 may be low.

You need to test FT4 and FT3 plus do you have high Thyroid antibodies? (Hashimoto’s)

What about vitamin D, folate, ferritin and B12 levels

Full private testing available if can’t get NHS to test all

Debri,

Perhaps your GP could increase dose to 100mcg/125mcg alternate days to see if the internal tremors resolve. I had those when FT3 was low and they were very disturbing.

The goal of Levothyroxine is to restore the patient to euthyroid status. For most patients that will be when TSH is 0.2 - 1.0 with FT4 in the upper range. FT4 needs to be in the upper range in order that sufficient T3 is converted. Read Treatment Options in thyroiduk.org.uk/tuk/about_... Email dionne.fulcher@thyroiduk.org if you would like a copy of the Pulse article to show your GP.

This could be due to adrenal reactions. Thyroid and adrenal glands work together to keep a balance. There are many articles in this site. This one talks about adaptogens but you can look up other articles to see if you relate to them. stopthethyroidmadness.com/a...
