Tremors

I just wondered if anyone else experiences tremors with Hashimotos? I know tremors are common when hyper but mine are there all the time hypo/ hyper.

They are worse in the mornings and get better as the day goes on. It’s visible shaking in my hands that worsens on the slightest exertion eg getting out the bath or walking down the stairs.

My endo said it’s likely to be adrenal related as my cortisol seems to be high on waking despite feeling exhausted.

Just wondered if anyone can relate?

Sorry you are still struggling. Yes your Doc could be correct about the Adrenals. If you are on a PC there are 10 more similar posts to yours under the heading Related Posts - to the Right of yours. If you are on a phone - then scroll down and down where you will find the same heading and posts. There must be something within 10 threads that could be of help.

Sorry cannot help as I have not suffered. Hope you soon feel better.

Thanks @marz

I did have a look before but any find anything that’s similar to what I’m experiencing. I’m hoping it will settle down with everything that I’ve put in place with diet, supplements and meds etc.

Just wondered if it could possibly be a hypo symptom too?

Thyroid or Adrenals ?

What does your Private Doctor say about your symptoms ? - why not contact him/her for some advice to reassure you ?

He said it’s probably adrenal related but I’m having hormone tests and she’s done next week too just so everything’s covered.

I will ask him again.. I just wondered if it was maybe blood sugar imbalance? Hyperglycaemia is a hypo symptom isn’t it?

Signs and Symptoms List is in the above Link. Not sure about Hyperglycaemia :-(

How did the above chart work out for you ? - Thyroid or Adrenal ? - or both !

It’s hard for me to say at the moment because I don’t have accurate blood results yet. The last one showed a flare. Having test next week so can marry it up with the chart then. Thank you as always lovely marz x

Thanks ((Marz)) that link is very helpful for me, too! Think I've possibly seen it before, but brain fog💭has obliterated it! I'll try and hang on to it this time!🙏. xx

Like so much we read - it is only a guide - but helps us to understand the link with thyroid and adrenals a little ... 😴x

Yes ((Marz)), but every little helps, and sometimes it's just a tiny bit of info in something you've read that gives you another piece of the jigsaw.👍. Mine has about a million pieces lol! 😊 but I'm getting there! Diogenes recent post has helped put some odd bits straight in my mind (I think) 💭 oh dear! well I'm still waiting for the T3 ~ any day now...... 🎉 xx.

Yes Dee8686 I do! Although blood tests say I'm 'fine' on Levo, definitely still hypo😕 I think it may well be adrenals, haven't had mine tested yet, due to lack of funds, but I will add that my shakes have greatly improved since I've started taking Vit B12 spray ~ lots of it 😊. According to GP I didn't need it, but folks on here disagreed, and they were right as usual. I'm sorry I've had no time to read your story, but just wanted you to know it's possible.

Also if you've got Hashis it may be a flare, but mines worse in the morning too ~everything is ~ I'm in agony ~ and long past flares, my thyroid has had no output for years! And with ANY emotional or physical stress, which of course, could be as simple as walking upstairs. I would check all vits and minerals, and search for info on adrenal balancing. Sorry I'm not much help, I'm sure a knowledgable member will come along, but try not to worry, it makes it so much worse. If I could only practise what I preach, I'd probably stop shaking myself!😳. lol! Hope you get it sorted 🍀 x

Thank you- Im under a private endo and all vitamins are being addressed in high amounts. I’ve just had a hyper swing but the tremors are there regardless. I’m not adequately treated yet though, so hoping that when my tsh is below 1 and all the supplements and diet have started to take effect that I will notice a difference. Do yours improve as the day goes on? Xx

Glad you are receiving good treatment. When your thyroid hormones are adequately treated, your adrenals (I imagine) may balance out, as I know when hyper or hypo it has a detrimental effect on them. I do improve as the day goes on in all areas actually, although that's only because the mornings are so awful! If i do too much, or get stressed or upset, I will still have a terrible attack of tremors ~ my daughters were terrified when I first got it ~ they thought I'd got something else! Did yours begin with a 'feeling of tremor' inside the chest, and then develop into the full on shakes? Just curious, because mine did. x
