Denne,

The BTA was clear that patient's T3 should not be withdrawn purely for financial cost saving reasons. The BTA issued guidance that patients doing well on T3 should not have their prescriptions with-drawn. See FAQS for patients and GPs in british-thyroid-association...

I would write to your GP and tell him/her that s/he may be found in breach of the General medical services contract if s/he does not prescribe treatment you have been told by an endocrinologist you need.

If doing well on T3 and originally diagnosed by NHS endocrinologist it should not be stopped

At very least they absolutely must continue prescribing until you are reviewed by an endocrinologist (will take months)

See Improve Thyroid Treatment campaign on Facebook for many very useful letter templates and research links

Look up your local CCG policy on Liothyronine

What CCG area are you in ?

Print out as much as possible and take in to your GP

Absolutely insist that GP tests vitamin D, folate, ferritin and B12 now before T3 is withdrawn.

Levels of vitamins often drop dramatically if T3 is stopped

Make a face to face appointment with your own MP too or at very least write to him and Cc letter to Lord O shaughnessey

Meanwhile contact Thyroid UK for list of recommended thyroid specialists, some are T3 friendly. If NHS refuses to reinstate a private prescription will enable access to cheap EU Liothyronine (£30 100 tablets)
