Tsh 2.506 range 0.350 to 4.940

Free t4 13.5 range 9.0 to 19.0

Thyroglobiin 26.71 iuml less than 4 11

Peroxidase 52.38 kiul less than 5.61

How do u transfer kiul to i iuml i want to compare the results to my last antivbodies test which has different measures.

My peroxidase antibodies were 91 the last time. Tested in November. Stupid me just realised it means the same. So my peroxidase levels have decreased. I havent done anything to decrease then other than have treatment for h oylori back in september. My thyrogloubin have increased by 7.71. Why would that happen one decrease and the other increase?

Jump1,

Do you take Levothyroxine or T3?

FT3 isn't often tested in primary care nowadays.

I don't know how you convert different units. You can calculate what percentage through each range your results are as a comparison.

No ive taken nothing. Yes i know i went private asked if they would test ft3 as well. Results just came back he didnt test it. Arrhhh just emailed him. Why would my peroxidase go down and thyroglounin antibodies go up?

Jump1,

TSH 2.56 indicates your thyroid is beginning to struggle. FT4 is just below halfway through range. NHS won't diagnose hypothyroidism until TSH is over range or FT4 below range. Some private doctors may diagnose when TSH is >3.0 but most won't.

Antibodies fluctuate and higher after an autoimmune attack and then subside until the next. I can't explain why TPO went down and TgAb went up though.

Jump1,

Thyroid peroxidase antibodies are positive for autoimmune thyroid disease (Hashimoto's). There is no cure for Hashimoto's which causes 90% of hypothyroidism. Levothyroxine treatment is for the low thyroid levels it causes. Many people have found that 100% gluten-free diet is helpful in reducing Hashi flares, symptoms and eventually antibodies.

My dublin gp said there was no cure. What about all the people that say they reversed it and got their antibodies to disaapear

Jump1,

If caught early Hashimoto's may be reversed but any damage it's already caused to the thyroid gland can't be reversed. I'm not convinced all the the people claiming to have reversed their Hashimoto's are speaking the truth.

My antibodies disappeared after I had a thyroidectomy. I wouldn't call that a cure though.

Those bloods were taken at 9pm. Dr only works evening hours. I am going to go to hp tmw morning and get the tsh t4 test done see what the results are in the morning. A gp in the south gave me t3 but i havent taken it. I had a readinf of 2.77 for tsh and my peroxidase antibodies wer 91. I just dont know what 2 do.

Jump1,

Doesn't look like there's much difference between TSH at 9am or 9pm according to the graph in healthunlocked.com/thyroidu...

Git tsh and t4 tested today. Was only meant to be in for liver check. Told the nurse thyroid as well. She said she would trust me as wasnt on the system. I pay my taxes so entitled to get the tests done. 38 years never near a gp. I am owed care.

I did a blood test the morning after this. My ft4 is 14.9 and my tsh is 4.49. Ranges are 12 to 22 and 0.3 to 4.5.
