Why did you stop carbimazole? Was it gp or endo? if you stopped it on yourvown accord you will feel very ill.

Welcome to the forum, BappyBD.

Can you post your recent thyroid results and ranges and say how much Carbimazole you were taking when the blood was drawn?

In the UK patients are expected to take Carbimazole for 12-18 months before weaning off to try for remission.

Thanks for your immediate response actually i visit my doctor last 3 month ago & that time my T3 1.74/T4 1.99 TSH 70 something, also he advice me that time to take 5mg carbomazole per day & me continue up to two month that time i feel better & i stop it last 20 days, because some reason i am not able to make appointment with him but now my feeling is little bad sweating, shaking hand/leg & bloody Eyes

BappyBD,

3 months ago you were very overmedicated to have TSH 70. Without the lab ref ranges (the figures in brackets after results) I can't tell how low your FT4 and FT3 are but they will be low because that is why TSH has risen so high.

It seems inconceivable that you would become severely hyperthyroid 20 days after stopping 5mg Carbimazole but I think you should see your GP and have another thyroid blood test to check.

BappyBD,

No, best not. You were massively overmedicated on 5mg to have TSH 70. It would be better to have a test 3-4 weeks after you stopped taking Carbimazole. Post your results and the ranges in a new question and members will advise.
