Trying to work out how to reduce estrogen where I can - what diet is best

Trying to find those supplements that are most effective at clearing out estrogen

One of my hunches, but this I think may be the key to unlock T3 conversion and related thyroid issues - for the long term.

I have been given a long research note from an industry expert to read - so will spend some time digging deeper.

Have you got oestrogen dominance?I have. I Have got a genetic predisposition.DIM was recommended.Tried it twice.Made me as ill as the Norovirus.

Used natural transdermal progesterone cream on & off for years. Now taking maca instead.Going to try intermittent fasting when have moved house & location in a few months.

I found Agnus Castus helpful when I was in perimenopause.

I think I read that you need to have good liver function so it can deal with 'used up' hormones and make room for new ones. Obviously, that is only part of it, but quite an important one.

Agreed - SF

Much of the attention on hashis recovery seems to be paid to the many other parts of the body (thyroid/digestion etc) - and I am sure this is also very important, but my thinking is leading to the view the answer to all this (for me anyway) is in the workings of the liver and hormone clearing.

Crikey, even DM had a decent article on this stuff this week - I was quite impressed how up to date they seemed to be ....

Much of T4's conversion to T3 happens in the liver, so if our livers aren't healthy maybe that's another reason why some don't convert well?

At present I am trying out certain supplements, aswell as the basic vits & minerals that I take regularly and next on my list will be to concentrate on the liver.
