So 18 years ago I was diagnosed with underactive thyroid. I have been reading around this for the last few years. Last July 2017 I went to my GP practice to ask to be referred to an Endocrinologist, I've never seen one. I also asked if I could get a private prescription for Armour or something similar. I got nowhere and I never got my referral, surprise. So now I have ordered the Nature-Thyroid 1 grain 65mg.
My question is, what will be the correct dose? I'm currently on 100 levothyroxine which was increased from 75 last September. I joined this group a couple of years ago but have not been on here for one reason or another and not as well read as some of you folks are. I hope this will make an improvement to my health as I think Levo hasn't made one damn difference at all, my body has just been treading water.
Thanks in advance for the help.

Medichecks Thyroid plus ultra vitamin or Blue Horizon Thyroid plus eleven are the most popular choice. DIY finger prick test or option to pay extra for private blood draw. Both companies often have money off offers.
All thyroid tests should be done as early as possible in morning and fasting and don't take Levo in the 24 hours prior to test, delay and take straight after. This gives highest TSH, lowest FT4 and most consistent results
This is part of a link I read the the other day and you should read the whole article. It is headed.:
"What to do if you have Hypothyroid Symptoms on Levothyroxine:-
A good starting dose would be 25mcg (I recommend using the 50mcg tab and cutting it in half), then slowly increasing your dose and rechecking labs every 4-6 weeks to follow free T3, free T4 and reverse T3 levels.
Thyroid Conversion chart - revised
(This is the conversion chart that I recommend using which is different than from what most Doctors use)
Dosing varies quite a bit based on the person but a typical dose may range between 25mcg and 250mcg of Levothyroxine or Synthroid per day. "
