Latest results safe to increse t3?

Ft3 5.23 (3.1-6.8)

Can I increase T3 by 6.25? And after a week if not better another 6.25?

My last increase only took ft3 from 5,2 (3,5-6,5) to 5,23 (3.1-6.8) why could that be?

There is plenty of room to increase your dose of T3 but you should wait more than a week before increasing again. Personal anecdote since being on a reasonable amount of T3 (18.75mcg) - I have found that when I have increased my T3 I actually need 8 weeks, even 6 weeks isn't enough to reflect the change, but of course that doesn't apply to everyone.

It takes 8 weeks for my FT3 to respond to dose adjustments too.

I'm glad to know I'm not the only one Clutter, was beginning to think I'm a bit odd!!!

Do you mean that your ft3 levels haven't changed after a week and you need 8 weeks for that to happen?

FT3 probably shows some increase a week after raising dose but it will take 6-8 weeks to show the full impact of the dose increase.

Your FT3 level may start to change after a week but personally I need 8 weeks for it to stabilise and me to know exactly what level that dose change achieves.

Yes I agree, it normally takes me 2-3 months to feel the full effect of a T3 increase, six weeks a little improved but if I wait another six weeks, it's even better

lisan1, when you started taking T3, presumably 6.25 mcg, how soon was it before you felt better or was aware of any changes in your symptoms?

Thinking of taking a some T3 soon , once I get my vitamin tests back, as I’m still very symptomatic on Levothyroxine.
