Advice on where to buy and dosage T3
I’ve inboxed you my supplier. If you post your last blood test results with ranges we can recommend dosage. Also are you taking Levo and if so how much? And some history on your thyroid journey. Also are you taking vitamins and supplements?
Hi BoneyEvans, could you also help me? I need T3 and have no idea about dosage. Taking levothyroxine. Dr's are no help as they don't recognise RT3 blood results. I'm quite poorly now as loosing brows and eyelashes also were a hearing aid due to years of incorrect treatment.
Many Thanks
Hi, I was diagnosed as hypo in April since then have given up gluten, been suppliments all B vitamins p5p, r5p,b12, folate, b3, iron and zinc. My most recent nutrient bloods, in July, showed Folate 9.5 range <3.8, B12 349 range 197-771, Ferritin 16 range 13-150 Zinc 6.94 range 11-24. The endo I have just see didn't do a new set of nutrients, bit frustrated as I forgot to ask. I will go back to the doctor and ask but as I am within range I doubt they will do much. Current blood taken by endo this month look like this. TPA 10.4 range 0.0-35.0 not sure what that means? Cortisol 225 range 68-327 according to the time of day I had it taken. Free T3 4.3 range 3.70-6.70 does this indicate poor conversion?, Free T4 19.7 range 12.3-20.2, THS 0.54 range 0.3-3.94. I have been feeling unwell for years, all the symptom of hypos and rising THS but have been ignored until i am out of range. Now I am back within range the GP will review my bloods yearly that's it all cured according to them.The endo I saw on the NHS was pretty good and it was he who suggested T3 and that gluten free was important. So is it worth trying T3 or should I check my bloods and try and get everything right there first? I would also like a confirmation on hashimotos, how do I do that? Is it possible that I don't have it??
Be most useful if you can provide those as it may be something else that isn't right and adding T3 may not be the answer. Often several boxes need to be ticked before we start on the right track.
Amendment Just looked at your earlier post and seen the result forcyou FT3. 4there isn't a range-these are essential as they differ from lab to lab but they don't look good. That suggested that you aren't converting well and so need optimal Vit D, B12, folate and ferritin to correct this. You say you are supplementing and sobitcwould be helpful if you could put your most reasent results for what you are taking and how much you are supplementing.
How long have you been supplementing? I've been in this position myself and it took me 5 months to correct my problem. Without getting this corrected first you may well find that adding T3 isn't as successful as you think it will be.
Hyp0thyr0id,
If you post your TSH, FT4 and FT3 results and ranges I can advise on dosing.
Hopefully you can see my comments with this on to? If not I'll repost.
@Sarah7o,
I think Silverfox7 and Clutter were referring to the original poster. You should write your own post as it’s confusing. You will get as much help as hyp0thyr01d. And maybe delete the comments on this post so that Hyp0thyr01d knows which answers are for her/him.
I’ll also suggest you put your results and ranges on separate lines as it’s not as clear.
I have been getting my T3 from Cyprus but have somehow lost the email address! Could someone please inbox me the address or the address of a different supplier , my stocks are getting low. Many thanks
T3 will not work well in your body if you do not have the basics of good health in place - B12 - Folate - Ferritin - VitD. How are your levels and what are you supplementing ? From reading this forum for many years I have seen so many people have problems introducing T3 due to low levels of the vitamins and minerals mentioned. No good trying to build a temple of health without a solid foundation
I am not anti T3 - I take it myself on prescription in Greece.
