Opinion on my results

Hello,

What is your opinion on my test results.

I started nature throid after the 18.9.17 test so the 14.12.17 results are the only ones with me on medication.

FT4: 12

TSH: 4.42

FT4:13.4

FT3: 4.5

TSH: 2.78

FT4: 12.5

At face value I would say you need more Nature-Throid - but when did you first start taking it? How much are you taking?

So i started taking the nature throid after the 18/9 test, probably a month after that test.

You haven't stated the dose you are taking of Nature-throid. Also it is helpful if you put the ranges, after your results as it helps when responding.

Oh sorry I’m on 1/2 grain a day, i have posted a picture to my original post.

1/2 gr is approx 50mcg of levothyroxine and you should increase by 1/4 tablet (1 gr) around every two weeks until you feel much better and symptoms are relieved. You should take pulse/temp too, before beginning if possible, and if either should go too high you drop back to previous dose. Also if you write down the clinical symptoms you have and tick them off as you improve.

Your blood tests on NDT should indicate a TSH lower than 1, a low in range or below range T4 and a T3 at the top of its range but not over. However we are all different and our need for hormones varies from person to person. So gradually increase as Shaws has said keeping an eye on pulse and temp. Hope you feel better soon.
