Hi I am a newbie, I am nervous about posting on here and I don't know what to expect so here goes.
I have recently been suffering from symptoms such as headaches, mind feeling like it's going blank, losing memory, feeling woozy/dizzy/lightheaded at times, brain feeling heavy in my head, burning urination, hard stool, chapped lips, flaky nails, tiredness, feeling cold, weight gain. Are they possibly undermedicated symptoms?
I had a phone call from my GP surgery today to say I am undermedicated but GP is not releasing results to me until I speak to her on 2 Jan.
I take 175mcg Levothyroxine and diagnosed 2013, was taking T3 which helped especially with the head symptoms.

Your Antibodies result confirms you have Hashimoto's Autoimmune Thyroiditis - but you know that?
Are you saying that your T3 was stopped and since then your symptoms have come on?
I would see a GP tomorrow with those symptoms. Would have thought that dizzy spells and severe "heavy" head pain warrants urgent appointment.
In our practice we have to phone at 8.30am to book same day appoinment. It's best to go and queue between 8am and 8.30pm to make appointment in person in case all are taken before you can get through on the phone.
If GP won't see you till 2nd - yet says you are undermedicted - has she left a prescription at reception for you ?
Have you ever had the following nutrients levels tesed :
Vitamin D
Calcium
B12
Folate
and Ferritin?
If not I would ask GP for blood tests for these also.
Hi I asked GP surgery if I could have the results but she said it wouldn't be good for me to have a copy of them because I would be worrying about them. Since my T3 was stopped my symptoms have gradually returned, I have just been advised to wait until 2 Jan for results and Vit D, Calcium B12 Folate and Ferritin and electrolytes all checked 1 week ago along with thyroid
So, it's for you to choose - see a GP tomorrow with your symptoms or wait till Tuesday. The only other thing I could think of is to ask for a phone call back from the same GP and say that you are not well (mention symptoms ) and you'd rather either be seen today or have her tell you what's in the results - if she is going to presribe something that will help you feel better then you'd like to have it asap.
Let's hope he is sympathetic but I doubt he will reinstate your T3 although probably wont. You will be left with no option but to source your own. Copy and paste part of the British Thyroid Association's advice made in 2016 about withdrawing T3.
If you are undermedicated that will explain the symptoms you are experiencing. When you get the results and ranges (ranges are the figures in brackets after the results) write a new post with them and members will advise.
Thyroid peroxidase antibodies are positive for autoimmune thyroid disease (Hashimoto's). There is no cure for Hashimoto's which causes 90% of hypothyroidism. Levothyroxine treatment is for the low thyroid levels it causes. Many people have found that 100% gluten-free diet is helpful in reducing Hashi flares, symptoms and eventually antibodies.
Poor gut function can lead leaky gut (literally holes in gut wall) this can cause food intolerances. Most common by far is gluten
According to Izabella Wentz the Thyroid Pharmacist approx 5% with Hashimoto's are coeliac, but over 80% find gluten free diet helps significantly. Either due to direct gluten intolerance (no test available) or due to leaky gut and gluten causing molecular mimicry (see Amy Myers link)
But don't be surprised that GP or endo never mention gut, gluten or low vitamins. Hashimoto's is very poorly understood
Changing to a strictly gluten free diet may help reduce symptoms, help gut heal and slowly lower TPO antibodies
I will call the secretary in the morning and I have the phone number for the first endo, she has moved hospitals and I have looked her up. She now works in another hospital so will contact her

Please consider sending a brief outline of this. How T3 improved you and the subsequent disaster since it was stopped. I would include the dire vitamin levels
