Sorry sent that before I'd finished!

So hes agreed to put to 100 as I complained of still not feeling right nausea tiredness lump in throat pain in back feet legs no energy tummy ache and constipation just generally not right

I feel he was quite dissmissive really as he just kept saying it was in range even though I did mention it thought it had to be below 1 to feel better

Any thoughts please

Fox78,

You have put up a second post that is not connected to your original post. That makes it awkward for people to follow.

You can edit your own posts - or add a response/reply onto your original post. You don't have to write a completely new post.

Fox78,

When you have your next thyroid blood test ask GP to check ferritin, vitamin D, B12 and folate too. You weren't very undermedicated so some of your symptoms may be due to vitamin and mineral deficiencies rather than low thyroid.

They checked all of my vitamins last time except for d which he is now doing in 3 months

All others came back in range In Oct

I was diagnosed in Aug 45.7 tsh and 5.4 t4 on 50 levo which they increased in Oct to 75 as my tsh was still 7.9

Fox78,

Yes, but where in range are the results? Some of those ranges are very broad.

All of them where mid range apart from folate which was below mid range but still in range but I get the feeling because it was all in range hes just going on results

Ideally what it the optimum tsh that most people feel better on?

Fox78,

Ask your GP receptionist for the results and write them in a new post for comment.

There really isn't any such thing as an optimum TSH. TSH, FT4 and FT3 should be taken in the round. Most people will be optimally dosed and feel well when TSH is 1.0 or lower with FT4 in the upper range and FT3 mid range to upper range.
